Common Questions

How do I know if I need therapy?

There are a few things to consider. Firstly, ask yourself if you're currently facing challenges or difficulties that are impacting your daily life and overall well-being. These challenges could include persistent feelings of sadness, anxiety, or anger, difficulty managing stress, strained relationships, or a sense of being stuck and unable to move forward. If you find that these issues are interfering with your ability to function, enjoy life, or reach your goals, therapy can be a valuable resource.

How long will I have to be in therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process, and the outcomes depend on your commitment and engagement in the therapeutic process. It's important to have realistic expectations and understand that therapy is not a quick fix but a journey towards self-discovery and growth. Over time, you can expect to experience increased self-awareness, improved emotional well-being, and greater resilience in navigating life's challenges.

What should I expect in my first therapy session?

During your first therapy appointment with us, we will conduct an intake to better understand your unique needs and experiences. This process involves gathering information about your physical health, emotions, and life circumstances. We will ask questions about your background, family dynamics, and any challenges you may be facing. This process allows us to develop a holistic understanding of your situation, tailoring our therapeutic approach to best support you.

Do you take my insurance, and how much will it cost?

The best way to get the most accurate information on the cost is by calling your insurance company and discussing your plan with them. However, you can email us and we will verify your benefits. Please provide your full name, DOB, and the name and DOB of the person the plan is through (parent or spouse) if it is not through your employer.

Please note, this is a rough estimate. For the exact cost, please contact your insurance company.

We are deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and affirming environment for individuals from all of these communities. We prioritize cultural competence, continuously educating ourselves to better understand and address the unique strengths and challenges faced by these populations.

Several of our therapists belong to these communities and their lived experience enriches their skill set and deepens their ability to understand their clients circumstances. In addition, our therapists actively engage in ongoing training and professional development to ensure they provide informed and compassionate care. We strive to create a safe space where individuals can express themselves without fear of judgment or discrimination.
