Find hope and healing with faith-based therapy.

Accepting new adult clients!

Meet Paul Guanya, LCSW

Perhaps you're carrying the weight of past traumatic experiences, or you're struggling with depression that makes it hard to find joy or purpose. You might look fine on the outside while fighting inner battles, wondering if anyone truly understands.

Whether you're dealing with panic attacks, upsetting memories, grief, or the fog of depression, you deserve more than just coping skills- get support from someone who understands your unique challenges and your faith- and uses proven techniques to help you rebuild a sense of safety, purpose, and connection.

As a licensed Christian therapist, I combine evidence-based therapeutic techniques with Christian principles to provide comprehensive healing for mind, body, and spirit. My approach acknowledges that true wellness encompasses both psychological health and spiritual growth, offering a unique path to healing that traditional counseling alone may not address.

EMDR Therapy

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, which is one of the many therapy techniques I use with clients. I have witnessed numerous adults successfully engage in EMDR and transform their lives by healing from their inner wounds. EMDR therapy is a specialized treatment designed to help individuals process and recover from trauma and various emotional challenges.

During EMDR therapy, clients are guided through a structured process that involves recalling distressing memories while simultaneously engaging in guided eye movements. This dual focus helps to reprocess traumatic events, reducing their emotional charge and enabling clients to feel a greater sense of control and understanding.

EMDR has been shown to be effective for various issues, including phobias, anxiety, and panic attacks, promoting healing by transforming negative beliefs and emotions associated with past experiences.

By addressing the root causes of these emotional roadblocks, EMDR offers individuals a pathway to regain resilience, ultimately supporting healthier coping mechanisms and a more balanced emotional state.
